Wheeew

I'm tellin' ya, as soon as I get a thousand ideas for some pieces of urts I get slammed with work. Though I'm only part time I've been working full time hours. Weird ones. Like 3pm to 11pm, then the next morning 7am to 2pm. ( I got out late, too. )

Plus the attack of multiple birthday parties and somewhat necessary friend things.
(psst I turn 20 on the 10th guys)

So, as soon as I can get myself into this whole gig and get used to it, I'm gonna be trying my best to DO STUFF. I'm tired of not doing things. It makes me unhappy.

And nobody wants that.

Geez.

But dude. I'mma be filthy rich.
I've also been told I'm getting a raise in a few months.
For being awesome. Yeahhhhh!

As physically and sometimes emotionally exhausting work can be, I love it. Honestly.

【Artist Baton】

◆ Your name?
Ashley Megan Smith

◆ If possible, your age?
I turn 20 in 10 days.

◆ When did you start drawing?
Since before I can remember.

◆ Which hand do you use for drawing?
Left!

◆ Which is easier to draw - male or female?
Female, only because I've gotten so used to them.

◆ Which is easier to draw - long hair or short hair?
Long hair, probably. Gives me more room to make mistakes.

◆ Is it easier to draw the head facing towards the right or the left?
Turned right, so I can start with the face and move backward without smearing.

◆ Is it easier to draw the side view of the face or the front view?
Front view, probably. It's easy to ruin a nose in a profile.

◆ What do you have problems in drawing?
Many, many things. Symmetrical eyes, proportional body parts, and hands and feet give me the most trouble.

◆ What do you like to draw?
People, patterns, details, and shapes.

◆ Are you a traditional artist or a digital artist?
Traditional. But I'm actually an cyborg, so would that make it digital?

◆ Where do you start drawing from?
I usually jump right into it. If it's a person I start with the face (the nose, not sure why), and if it's like a basket or something I start with one corner. I should probably learn to work from sketches, but I have no patience for that sort of thing.

◆ What is your drawing habit that you are aware of?
I tend to focus on certain things more than others, like parts of a face or areas of something.

◆ Any tips for coloring/shading?
Do it.

◆ How long does it take to finish a piece of art?
Not too much time, I mow through it with the energy of a crackhead. Half an hour to an hour?

◆ What music do you listen to while you draw?
All sorts of things.

◆ How long does it take you to come up with an idea?
I don't usually have ideas. Once I do I have such high expectations of it that I feel like I've butchered it. Usually I just start right away and let it become what it is on it's own.

◆ Your favorite drawing utensils?
Pencils, colored pencils, gel pens, and sharpies.

◆ Your favorite color/the color that you use a lot?
Green is in a lot of my stuff. :)

◆ Your favorite style(s)?
I'm not sure if I have one. If I HAD to choose, I'd have to say surrealism.

◆ What kind of artist are you aiming for?
My own kind. Not that I'm particularly original, but I'm not sure exactly where I'd fit in, definition-wise.

◆ Thank you.
Now please fill in the next columns by writing the names of the artists that match the criterea.
{I don't have the time or energy to actually go through all of the people that I feel belong in here, but believe me, I love you all lots! Anybody can do this if they want to.}

So, I'm not going to school anymore. Couldn't afford all 5 classes I wanted, decided to take just one that was important, and now it's full.

Looks like I get a semester off!

Maybe I WILL have time to make some arts. :)

Sorry about the lack of updates on here, I've been pretty busy, especially the last few weeks. I haven't forgotten about it, here!

I managed to land myself a job at Wawa, and I start school at the end of the month. Needless to say I'll have a pretty full schedule ahead of me. I won't even be making school-related arts, seeing as there's not much there to take, and the one I wanted was filled up by the time I registered and figured out what I wanted. So no art classes!

I'm happy, because I'll never have time to be bored. I'm sad, because now I can't be a lazy lump of meat. Oh, the confusion!

I'll try to throw a few things in before school where I won't have time for much of anything at all. I miss being artistic. I wonder where that went.

I love all of you!
